Supporting our Animal Rescue of the Month: Auckland Cavy Care Learn more

Love is a four-legged word.

We understand the special bond between humans and their companion animals. Creating opportunities to enhance and enrich the environment you share means happier and healthier animals.

Our values

Giving back

Every month we donate supplies to our Animal Rescue of the Month to support their important work in our community. It is our way of saying: we see you, and we appreciate all that you do. We also offer an opportunity to add a donation to any order, with 100% of donations sent directly to our Animal Rescue of the Month. This initiative wouldn't be possible without your support - from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Together we can make a difference.

This month, we are supporting:

Our mission

Animal enrichment

We are dedicated to creating meaningful, enriched environments for small companion animals that are purpose-built and driven by positive experiences. Enrichment enhances the quality of life for companion animals by providing stimulating opportunities for exploration and play using a variety of methods.

Cognitive Enrichment

Involves activities designed to stimulate memory and problem-solving. For instance, hiding objects or treats encourages natural foraging behaviour, and rotating a variety of puzzle toys can offer stimulation to help prevent boredom or displacement.

Physical Enrichment

Includes altering the complexity of an animal’s physical living space. Providing toys or dynamic physical structures provide animals more control over their environment, and may reduce destructive behaviour associated with frustration or stress.

Nutritional Enrichment

Encourages animals to perform natural foraging and feeding behaviours with the use of food as a reward. Providing puzzle feeders or food hiding challenges can serve to reduce boredom, offer stimulation and increase physical activity.

Sensory Enrichment

Involves stimulating the senses, such as sight, sound or smell. For instance, the addition of nose work training can offer excellent cognitive and sensory stimulation as an animal works to forage for a hidden target (such as a treat) based on scent.

Social Enrichment

Encourages positive social interactions with others, which can encourage opportunities to display social behaviour, such as play. Enhancing social enrichment in your home can increase cognitive stimulation and mitigate social aggression.
